BEIJING, July 23(China Youth Daily)-China’s people-centred development agenda is well aligned with the ILO’s human-centred future of work agenda. " LEE Changhee, Director for ILO(International Labor Organization)  Country Office for China and Mongolia , said in a written interview with China Youth Daily that he  believe s China is able to not only address youth employment challenges but also promote quality and inclusive sustainable development with the highly effective governance mechanism ".

China has always been an active participant and promoter in global youth development. As Lee mentioned in the Employment and Entrepreneurship Thematic Forum of the first World Youth Development Forum  on July 22, the ILO has been working  with China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on SYB (Start Your Business), one of the world's largest training programmes designed to provide support and guidance tailored to entrepreneurs and smes.  ILO has also been cooperat ing with the All-China Youth Federation to introduce the KAB (Know About Business) program to China and successfully localized the program.

In Lee's view, SYB and KAB are so successful because the Chinese government is "not only committed to creating a better future for youth", but also "innovative and collaborative".

The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development calls for sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. The Employment and Entrepreneurship Thematic Forum aims to deepen the discussion on youth employment and entrepreneurship and seek to address outstanding issues  around the world.
